Pumpkins for Sale

It should read "Kids for Sale", because lately...they've been running me ragged. Especially Miss Lauren. She thinks I'm her personal entertainment committee...which I guess I am, but I'm plum out of new ideas!

So, yesterday we ventured off to the local pumpkin patch and kids corn maze. It was an hour of distraction, and the girls were happy to run free and pick out their own pumpkins for the porch (special thanks to Grandma Janet!). As for the rest of the week...anyone interested in having a 4 year old and 2 year old over to play? They're really cute.

Ode to 60th West

Dearest 60th West,

Oh how I've missed your precious pavement.
Your transportation north and south.
I've longed for your company,
these last long 2 months,
and I've dreamed of your presence once more.
At last you are back,
All paved in new black,
Today is the day, hooray!
So promise me 60th west, please do;
to keep your path open forever and ever.
For we truly love Target,
and dear Harmon's too...
and you're the best way there, it's true.

Audrey's First Written Words

I guess I'm going to have to play the proud mama card for just one moment. This past week Audrey has mastered writing every one's name in the family all by herself...and we had to document it for all to remember! Here's the beaming lady herself:

Following this proud moment...Audrey decided to put on a tumbling show for Lauren and me. She requested that I take pictures of the occasion so she could see what she looks like (we're not vain or anything). So...the following show is brought to you in part by: Mom - who drives her to tumbling, Dad - who pays for her tumbling, Mrs. Teresa - who patiently teaches her tumbling, and viewers like you.

Back to School

August 17th marked the first day of pre-school for Miss Audrey. She was pretty excited about it all day, until it was time to go to class. Then she cried like a baby...for no apparent reason. It is our second year with Mrs. LaDawn, and we love her! I love the afternoons to myself...as she has class right during Lauren's nap time. Couldn't have planned it better. I tried to take a picture of Mrs. LaDawn and Audrey together, but she closed her eyes...so you'll just have to settle for a picture of Audrey and me, happy as can be.

It's All About The Pony

I would like to take this moment to thank my sister-in-law, Steph, for spending her hard earned money and time getting a pony for her daughter's birthday party that was a HUGE hit with pretty much only my girls! Lily and Edie (my nieces) were NOT big fans, but Audrey and Lauren were in pony heaven...as you will surely see in the pictures. Thanks Steph! We LOVED it!
