What a Wakeboarder!

We went boating on the 24th with our fabulous neighbors and I'm so proud to report that after years of trying (okay, maybe only a few tries) I finally was able to get up on a wakeboard. It was awesome! And, lucky for us we ran out of batteries in the camera so we couldn't capture this momentous occasion! But, that's okay because I found a picture of someone doing exactly what I did...I looked just like this and I'm not kidding! I'm a natural!

California Funnin'

This last week we traveled with Grandma Janet to visit Grandma Furnell (or Grandma Nell as Audrey calls her) in Sacramento. It was a fun trip and we loved seeing everyone!

We went with Aunt Janice, Uncle Steve, Ray, Royce, Perry and Ely to Fairytale Town and the Sacramento Zoo. Audrey thoroughly enjoyed them both. But, her favorite part was Mr. McGreggor's Garden in Fairytale Town. They had a large garden and little watering cans that the kids could use to water the garden...as many times as they wanted. Which, for Audrey, was about 7 cans full...and she would have spent all day there if she could have convinced us to stay!

Audrey, Lauren and I stayed out at the Farm...my Aunt Janice's home...and Audrey was in Farm Heaven. Her favorite thing to do was help Aunt Janice feed the horses and chickens. It was the first thing she asked to do in the morning. And, all the way home to Salt Lake she asked when we were going back to see Aunt Janice. We also visited Gibson Farm to feed the ducks...we used to go there with Grandpa Furnell when we were little. Also, an interesting tidbit I found out...this place was the first "date" that mom and dad went on when he stopped by to see her after he got home from his mission. They went to Gibson Farm and walked around. I guess the rest was history because here we are!

Yankee Doodle Day

This year we spent the 4th of July in Huntsville, UT, with Adam's family. The day started bright and early when I ran in a 5K with Steph, Adam's sister. Then we enjoyed the parade at the park, where the kids went crazy for candy.

We spent the rest of the day playing sand volleyball and eating great food. To finish up the night, we spread our blankets out on the grass at the park and watched the fireworks light up the sky right over our heads. There isn't a better place to watch fireworks anywhere!
