Family Times

We've been spending a lot of time lately just as a family, and with our extended family, doing fun stuff! My sister came into town from Ohio and we got to spend time with our cousin Sam, and meet our new cousin Russell! We loved seeing them and miss them already!

This last weekend we also went up to the cabin again, to do some work and have some fun! Here's pic's from the trip...

Adam and Rocky (our brother-in-law) went up the weekend before us and tore off the old deck and put up a new one. Adam finished it, but we are going to put new 2x6's on the top...hopefully before winter sets in. We just re-used the lumber that was already up there, it looks a lot better...sorry there's no "before" pictures! Adam and I also spent a few hours re-setting and fixing up the stone around the fire pit. Hopefully it won't be as big of a tripping hazzard. A few summer's ago, when Audrey was 15 months old, she fell into this fire pit head first...it was a horrible experience, and we were very lucky that the fire was mostly embers, we were cooking foil dinners. She was burned on her forehead the worst and we ended up driving into Price to the hospital to make sure she was okay. It could have been much, much worse. Now, I'm a paranoid about campfires (who isn't?) and I won't let the girls near them unless we're holding them!
